Seeing invisible things?

You know how you see nats flying around in a group? Well I see that a lot when I look around. Sometimes I don't see it and other times I do if I concentrate. Anyways what are they? Is it because of my vision? I've had 20/20 vision since I was a kid and still am since yesterday I went to the eye doctor. Anyways does anyone have an explanation?
