I would love to be able to sing better any ideas?

im in my early 20s and love to sing, im not horrible but im not the greatest. what are some good beginner songs that are good to sing? i sing a little of everything but not really rap. some country and others to. ive went on youtube for the "lessons" and have tried that out, what is the best way to sing? thanks!
